International conference, organised by the CEE Bankwatch Network, the Polish Green Network, the Heinrich Boell Foundation and the Polish Climate Coalition, took place on the 24th May 2011, in Warsaw, and gathered many interesting guests.     
EU aims for 3%, but for Poland even 1% is too much

Two important climate and energy papers were released today by the European Commission in Brussels. The ‘2050 Low Carbon Roadmap’ advocates that Europe should step up to its domestic emission cuts to 25% by 2020. The ‘Energy Efficiency Plan’ recognises that the EU is not on track to meeting its 2020 energy savings target of a 20% reduction in energy use compared to business as usual, and presents chosen solutions, but puts off stronger action measures until 2013.     
GAP Poland joins Climate Coalition!

We are happy to announce that Climate Coalition has a new member. Foundation GAP Poland (Fundacja GAP Polska) is affiliated with the Global Action Plan International, a network of several national organizations GAP, whose purpose is to motivate and strengthen citizens in making choices in everyday life of consumer-friendly environment.     
Debate "Negotiations on a global agreement - the assessment of European Union diplomacy"

On the 8th February 2010 Climate Coalition and Polish Institute of International Affairs organized the debate "Negotiations on a global agreement - the assessment of European Union diplomacy". Representatives of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Chancellery of the Sejm, Polish Institute of International Affairs and Climate Coalition spoke off.     
International conference "Towards a low-carbon economy in Poland"

On Friday, 17th December 2010, the international conference "Towards a low-carbon economy in Poland" co-organized by the Climate Coalition, the Ministry of Economy, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, and the World Bank was held in Warsaw. During the conference experiences of  EU member states in the process of moving away from coal were presented, as well as good practices of European regions previously dominated by industries associated with coal.     
Debate "Energy efficiency - the basis of Polish energy security. The role of the state and business"

On Wednesday, 10th November was held in Warsaw a debate 'Energy efficiency – the basis of Polish energy security. The role of the state and business' organized by the Climate Coalition. The purpose of the debate was to exchange information on energy efficiency at the current political conditions, legislative and administrative changes and the need for these conditions.
